Middle East Crisis (part 2)
Read this.
A UN Post was bombed by Israel in the Lebanese town of Khiam in southern Lebanon. A mistake, perhaps, except for one simple fact that makes the whole situation stink to high heavens: an Irish officer has placed six warning calls to the Israeli Defence Force prior to the attacks, and after each calls, he was assured that the firing would stop.
What’s interesting also is that the place was bombed with precision-guided munition.
Four unarmed UN observers died: an Austrian, a Finn, a Canadian and a Chinese.
This follows from a report by the BBC a few days ago that a Red Cross ambulance was also hit by an Israeli missile.
Please, someone stop Israel’s madness. Before it’s too late.
Here’s some food for thought: When the IRA was terrorising England a few decades ago, would it be right for the British to bomb the heck out of Northern Ireland?

our wonderful hizbullah friends.
And then, think logically why would israel target UN personnal on purpose? what good does bombing UN personnel do to them?

the mainstream press reports what they want you to think. it took alot of research to find writings like this. at least i found one journalist who has the balls.

now do you understand the tactics used to play with the media and sympathies of people?
common sense really.

a nation can be held accountable, terrorists can not. Actions have been committed in Israels name that are morally or ethically questionable, eg Jenin, but Israel has addressed these themselves.

read the press reports from the UNifil personnel in lebanon. Hizbullah attack them daily. our wonderful press does not report this. why?

Why would Israel target a UN post? I don’t know, but what I do know is that they have been told repeatedly that shelling are too close to the post. And again, I re-iterate the fact that the post was hit with precision based munitions.
Anyways…
I think we can agree that there is no such thing as a completely free press. I agree, the media reports only what it wants to report.
What’s interesting is that there are people who think that the Western media is biased, but on the other side of the spectrum. They think that the Western media is portraying Muslims as terrorist, as opposed to the terrorists being Muslims (there is a difference). Indeed, I myself prefer watching the BBC as opposed to the CNN as I feel that they put forth a more objective coverage.
In the end people believe what they want to believe. I can do a search on the Net myself to show websites that support my view. And I’m sure you can counter my ‘evidence’ with ‘evidence’ of your own. At the end of the day, I do not think either of us will budge from our respective views.
Which is fine, at least we’re civilised enough not to fight with each other over differences in opinions. Which is more than can be said for some other people in the world, who think that differences can only be resolved with guns.

this is how any fighting should be done. =)
